Transcription Leverage your strengths II

Do you ever feel like you're not being productive enough at work or in your personal life? Do you feel overwhelmed by the amount of things you have to do? In this course, we will teach you how to be more productive and make the most of your strengths.

Productivity is an important topic in the modern world. With so many distractions and demands, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and lose focus. However, there are ways to be more productive and get more done with less stress. The secret is to leverage your strengths and build on them.

Productive people try to build on their strengths. They are constantly figuring out what they do well, how they can do more of it, how they can go deeper into it, and how they can build on that strength more. They don't try to smooth out all the rough edges everywhere in their productivity portfolio. They don't try to be an ace jack of all trades or a jack of all trades for everything. That's not the way people can be most productive.

For example, if you're not very good at web design, you could take courses here on this platform and elsewhere on web design and graphic design. You could do that, but you've made the decision that it's not the best use of your time. You're not good at it. For starters, you're color blind. So any web design you come up with, the color will look horrible. It will probably clash. And it's simply not a good use of my time to take more and more courses on web design and graphic design. The best use of my time is to give a speech or deliver live training or create new online video courses so they can be viewed by thousands of students around the world.

The best use of your time depends on your skills and strengths. If you're the best plastic surgeon in the world, you probably don't want to spend all your time trying to figure out how to deal with infectious diseases. It's a different skill set. Go deeper with who you are and spend your time rebuilding the faces of people who have been in terrible car accidents, if that's your specialty. But build strengths. It's a different mindset than trying to get an A in every subject in school.

Many productive people were good in school. Some were horrible in school because they are so focused on what they like that they can't spend a second on the things they don't like. I'm not asking you if you're in school. I'm not asking you to quit and ignore all the classes. That doesn't sound one hundred percent interesting to you, but you can be a very successful person even if you were horrible in school. Whenever you can find a strength and build on it and strengthen it and improve it, always try to improve your strengths.

So that's what I want you to reflect on now and then write in the question and answer section. Are you willing to take risks and face your fears to achieve your goals? Remember that success rarely comes easily and comfortably. It often involves making tough choices and sacrifices. But if you are willing to put in the work and fight for what you want, you may be surprised at what you are capable of achieving.
