Focus on what we are good at vs. what we are passionate about.

Productivity is critical to success in both work and personal life. We are often told to follow our passions, but that is not always the most effective way to increase productivity. While passion is important, it is also important to focus on our skills and competencies so that we can help others and generate positive feedback from them.

It is true that there is a great deal of overlap between our skills and our passions, but following our passion does not always lead to success. While some may have discovered their passion at a young age, most people must work to discover their skills and then focus on them. It is important not to fall into the trap of following a passion just because we like it. If we don't have the skills necessary to succeed in that field, we may become frustrated and end up losing interest.

For example, if we have always wanted to be a musician but do not have the skills to play an instrument, it may be difficult for us to succeed in that field. We may need to keep working on our skills and competencies, and focus on what we are good at in order to help others in a meaningful way. It is important to find an activity that is challenging, but at the same time in line with our skills and competencies. That way, we can keep learning and improving, which will increase our productivity.

Of course, it is also important to be passionate about what we do. If we are not passionate about what we are doing, we may get bored and lose motivation. But finding that passion is not always easy. We may have to work in different fields and try new things to find something we are really passionate about.
