Routine for a proper nights sleep - nutrition
One of the most efficient ways to achieve a deep and lasting sleep is to establish an adequate routine, based on organizational habits, where we favor the creation of a series of basic conditions that help us to rest pleasantly. Our routines should be created in order to provide a certain order and discipline that will allow us to have enough time to sleep the amount of hours that our body demands. Likewise, these hours of sleep must be of quality, so the environment and the conditions in which we sleep at night are essential to achieve this goal.
During the development of this guide we will be addressing some of the fundamental issues that revolve around organizational habits and the quality of our sleep, so that you can incorporate new knowledge to help you create your own routines for a good night's sleep.
Many times we do not value the importance of order in our mental well-being. A tidy room, where hygiene is taken care of and the basic conditions for rest are created, will be pleasantly received once we get ready to rest. Taking care of the order in the room also implies ensuring that it is properly conditioned.
Among the basic measures you should take into account is the elimination of any source of natural or artificial light that may interrupt or affect the quality of your sleep, have soft and comfortable pillows for rest, take care that your bed is in good condition and is not uncomfortable once you lie down on it, eliminate any noise that hinders rest and provide that you have quilts or sheets in case the temperatures are low.
Try to appreciate the room where you sleep as one of the most important rooms in your home, since this is the one that plays a key role in the care of your health and in the replenishment of the energy you will need to face the tasks of the next day.
Once night falls, you should try to spend your time relaxing and distracting yourself with trivial matters. Bad habits of working in the evenings or discussing stressful topics that threaten your peace of mind should be put aside. When we do exciting activities at night we increase our brain activity, so it is more complex for us to relax and fall into a deep sleep.
If there is a work activity or topic that requires deep analysis, try to schedule it for the next day. Not only will you be stronger to deal with serious problems in the morning, but you will also respect your rest time.
More often than not, the lack of time to rest or relax is mostly due to poor organization and use of our time during the day. It is understandable that many of us cannot sleep long hours because we have to accomplish certain tasks in the early hours of the morning. This is no excuse for not being able to get organized and rest at least 8 hours a day.
Making the most out of your morning commute will ensure that you can rest as soon as possible. Rest, in this case, should not be seen only as the moment in which we lie in bed and get ready to sleep, but as our moment of relaxation, in which we give rest to our brain and prepare for the next day.
