Test Coach competencies
Agenda
QUESTION 1: HOW TO BE A GOOD COACH?
These days the coaching profession has become very popular both for the modality of work and for the emotional benefits it represents for the coach and for those who request the service
This is a preparation that requires effort and motivation to be able to contribute to the growth of other companies or individuals
QUESTION 2: WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE COMPETENT?
Being competent implies knowing our abilities and our limits, what we can do and how far we can go in all aspects of life
When we are faced with any type of work, we are faced with the challenge of competence, whether we will be capable enough to achieve our goals
QUESTION 3: WHAT REQUIREMENTS ARE INCLUDED IN THE CONCEPT OF COMPETENCE?
Many times we meet people who are willing to help but do not have the necessary knowledge
There are people who know a lot about a certain area of work but do not really know how to carry it out because they do not have the necessary skills
The concept of "competence" encompasses a series of requirements such as: willingness, knowledge, skills and values to perform a specific task in some type of context
When we assume that we are competent in an area of work or profession we are committed to being able to do the job efficiently
QUESTION 4: WHAT DOES OBSERVATION ALLOW US TO OBSERVE?
For the work of coaching it is necessary to rely on our senses to the maximum
Observation allows us to get in direct contact with our client and gather a lot of information about his situation
As long as we are good and perceptive perceivers we can find details to work on with the customer in a step-by-step manner
Through observation we also reach several conclusions that help us to know the people we are dealing with and their context
QUESTION 5: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR IN THE COACHING PROCESS?
The most important factor in the coaching process is listening, it is how we really get to the concerns of our clients
Everyone has something to say, everyone wants to be heard, to be taken into account and our work also includes making the customer feel valued, so the most the customer needs is a listening ear
Without listening there is no communication possible because in order to help we need to know what the other person thinks, what concerns them, what their goals are
During coaching, paying attention to listening makes it easier for us to know what the client's real state is through the vocabulary he/she uses
QUESTION 6: WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING COMMUNICATION WITH THE CUSTOMER THROUGH QUESTIONS?
The objective of establishing a communication with the customer through questions is not to obtain a correct answer from the customer, but to encourage a reflection that leads to real and effective solutions
We as coaches are not the answer to the client's concerns, we are a support to make it possible for them to find their own answers through the questioning of their current reality,
