Every time we are faced with a decision about our future, we are faced with two completely opposite paths.

These two paths are fear and faith, which represent two sides of the same coin of uncertainty.

We can choose to live in fear, always expecting the worst possible outcome, or we can decide to live with faith in the best.

Most situations in life are neutral; it is we who give them a positive or negative connotation.

It is important to clarify that this faith has nothing to do with religion, but is a word of action.

A personal story perfectly illustrates these two perspectives in the same stressful and uncertain situation.

The author and a friend missed the last ferry to catch their return flight the next day from an island.

With no apparent transportation, the only solution they found was to hire local fishermen to take them in the early morning.
