Transcription How to identify my body type

From a biological, physical and metabolic point of view, we usually classify a person's body according to certain patterns. It is important to know what type of body we have, because depending on it we must act in one way or another, since each body has its own particularities, as well as its advantages and disadvantages.

The body types, according to this classification criteria are ectomorph, mesomorph and endomorph. The main sense of being able to identify which is our body type, lies in the considerations that we must take into account when developing a diet or a specific exercise plan.

Throughout this guide we will delve into some easy to identify aspects when it comes to classify your body in some of the above. Ease of weight gain: You may have noticed that some of your peers can eat large amounts of junk food and still not gain body weight. However, there are others who eat moderately and gain a few extra pounds.

Ectomorphs are precisely those who are represented by the first example. They are people who, given the inherent characteristics of their metabolism, find it very difficult to gain weight. They are easily identified because they can eat large amounts of food, in some cases very high in calories, and their weight remains the same.

On the other hand, endomorphs are people who tend to gain weight easily. They do not need to eat excessively to notice how their body mass increases. Finally, we have mesomorphs, who are those who vary their weight very easily. They can gain or lose weight by making very basic changes in their diet or exercise routine. Muscle mass: People who are in the group called ectomorphs have low levels of muscle mass. On most occasions, when they undergo training sessions, it is usually more noticeable the definition of their muscles than the increase in muscle volume.

Endomorphs have high levels of muscle mass. Not only is their build by nature somewhat robust, but it only takes a short approach to exercise to notice how their muscles swell with ease. These people appreciate with great ease the effects of exercising with weights or with any strength exercise aimed at obtaining muscle mass.

In the case of mesomorphs, they have a naturally muscular body. They can achieve very well-built physiques if they dedicate enough time to training. Their build is lighter than endomorphs but with better definition, as they tend to have an athletic and sporty physique. Body shape: Ectomorphs are slim. Their torso presents a short appearance in reference to their extremities. Their chest and shoulders are usually narrow and their height is generally tall. They are the typical bodies of the tall, slender, long-limbed person.

The endomorphs, on the other hand, have shorter limbs, their bones are usually of greater volume and tend to weigh more. These bodies are usually accompanied by a wide waist and bulging hips.

In the case of mesomorphs, a V-shaped figure is usually appreciated. It is the ideal body for fitness enthusiasts, because they manage a narrow waist and broad shoulders, which combined with their ease to increase muscle mass, are very positive aspects to achieve an athletic and well-built body.

There are many other characteristics that differentiate one body shape from another, however, we believe that the above summarizes very well the basic differences that present each body type. Knowing them, you will be able to easily know which one your body identifies with.
