Transcription The four types of conversations according to argumentation and empathy

Wear-Out Conversations (low argumentation, low empathy)

He classifies them into four types according to argumentation and empathy. The first type is wear-out conversations: low argumentation and low empathy.

They are typical of people who constantly complain without giving reasons, generating emotional wear and tear.

Explosion Conversations (low argumentation, high empathy/emotionality)

The second type is explosion conversations. In these, there is a great emotional charge but little argumentation.

They are dramatic dialogues where there are no solid arguments, only an explosion of feelings.

Rejection Conversations (high argumentation, low empathy)

The third type is rejection conversations. Here the opposite occurs: high argumentativeness but very low empathy.

One of the interlocutors uses their arguments to crush the other, without putting themselves in their place, which generates a feeling of rejection.

Inspiring Conversations (high argumentativeness, high empathy): the ideal to achieve

Finally, we have inspiring conversations. In these, a high argumentative capacity and high empathy are combined.

They are dialogues where ideas are presented clearly and respectfully, taking into account how the other person feels.

These conversations build bridges and generate connection.

Summary

There are conversations of exhaustion, where there is low empathy and few arguments. They are common in people who only complain, causing emotional exhaustion and without providing real solutions.

Explosive conversations are very emotional but without argumentative substance. Although they express intense feelings, they lack logic, which prevents constructive understanding.

Inspiring conversations combine empathy and argumentative clarity. They are the ideal model because they foster understanding, respect, and mutual growth among those in conversation.
