Transcription How can personal hygiene responsibility be promoted?

Nowadays, personal hygiene is fundamental to maintain good health, and it is important that children learn to be responsible and autonomous in the care of their bodies. Personal hygiene includes activities such as hand washing, bathing or showering, tooth brushing, nail care, among others. These activities may seem simple, but they are essential to prevent diseases and infections. In turn, encouraging responsibility in personal hygiene in children helps them develop skills and habits that will be useful in their daily lives and throughout their lives.

Toileting

It is important to encourage responsibility in children by teaching them good habits that they will keep for the rest of their lives. Bath time is very beneficial for the health of our children because during this time we rid the body of sweat and bacteria from the whole day. A good water temperature is necessary as well as a correct soaping of the body and drying after the shower. It is important to make them understand that the showering of the body should be daily and systematic after intense recreational activities and before meals or sleep time.

Tooth brushing

Tooth brushing is a very important activity for a child's hygiene because at this stage the teeth are moving towards what will be their future chewing tools. It is recommended for the dental health of children to brush four times a day, or after each meal to remove debris and dirt that can become an unpleasant factor. It is important with this activity to systematize the correct brushing to avoid the formation of cavities or other harmful infections. The example to successfully achieve this habit is children is important, therefore we teach them while practicing brushing together.

Hand washing

Hand washing in children is essential for their health, as many of them often put their hands in their mouths and this is where many diseases and germs are contracted. Proper hand washing is done with plenty of soap and water to remove dirt after play. It is beneficial to make them understand the importance of hand washing before meals to avoid infection. Once our children know the importance of hygiene they can become responsible for maintaining it on their own.
