Transcription Learn to manage problems

Problems are a very present factor in the development of any life project. No matter how carefully we plan each of our actions, nothing can guarantee that we will get the results we want. Learning to manage problems is a fundamental task for anyone who wishes to maintain a stable progress, without having interruptions due to emotional downturns that threaten our mental tranquility.

During the development of this guide we will be addressing some of the basic elements that may be useful to you when managing your problems and administering your energies.

Analyze each problem separately

When we accumulate many problems in our daily lives, we come to perceive them as a great burden that we do not know how to deal with. Getting overwhelmed because we have many problems to solve is a very common attitude. What happens in these cases is that we are not able to separate the problems and analyze them individually. We appreciate the whole phenomenon as a whole and this ends up dazing us and making us believe that they are more significant than they really are.

At the moment when problems accumulate, try to think about them individually, in this way you avoid mixing issues that are of different natures. Your brain always tends to group, that is why it can be complex to see each problem as an independent element, with a particular relevance in each case and that will require different actions to solve them.

Avoid emotional paralysis

Emotional paralysis is produced when the situation we have to face overcomes us. It is a kind of saturation where our emotions are destabilized. This leads us to move towards procrastination, leaving aside the most important tasks and assuming an evasive behavior towards reality. If your problems do not let you move forward in a particular aspect of your life, this is no excuse to stop fighting for other things that are not related to your current problem.

If we put everything aside because of an unfavorable circumstance, chances are that when the problem that is holding us back has disappeared, we will have lost the opportunity to move forward in other aspects.

Keep thinking rationally

As we mentioned earlier, emotional paralysis is one of the many phenomena that can occur in the face of emotional instability when dealing with our problems. We cannot expect our emotions to provide the answer to our difficulties. As complex as it may be, you must be able to put aside your emotional side and focus on rational and analytical thinking to overcome adversity.

Rational thinking is the one that helps you make decisions based on concrete facts and not on the emotional perceptions we have about them. There are numerous exercises to keep the mind calm, such is the case of meditation, where you will learn to control your emotions so that they do not cloud your judgment.

Most problems depend on the time factor to find an adequate solution, you have to learn to be patient so as not to force results that could be counterproductive to your interests. If you feel that you are not in a stable emotional state, the best thing to do is to postpone making any decision until your rational side is deciding. Learning to handle problems is a complex task, which begins by educating our mind to make decisions in the right way.
