Transcription Life purpose

As you continue to learn what unconscious beliefs you have decided to adopt to judge your REALITY and thereby define who you are, life goes by. You look back and you are no longer the rebellious 15 year old crazy girl, your responsibilities grow and your maturity, at times, too. That boy who searched and induced answers to his "why", or that other who had a dream: to be a fireman, are now men who built the path to fulfill their dreams or, was that dream out of phase with a clear order of expectation-reality?

I hope that right now you are choosing well how to "spend" the years in the passing of time that is life. But, what do we call life? According to biology, life is the capacity of human beings to be born, to grow, to reproduce and to die. What a simplistic vision, and if I don't grow? At thirty years old, my maturity is close to the average maturity of a five-year-old child.

What is your concept of life? What is the purpose of being here right now, reading, searching for your place in the world and believing that for some reason you are different?

Aristotle argued that those people who had a life were those who rejoiced in the common good, and it sounds contradictory, but that "common good" is the work and art of humans themselves. That is, if in humanity there were only selfless love and peace to offer, we would have a full LIFE to wish to live.

I offer you the opportunity to read a book called: "Man's Search for Meaning", by Victor Frankl, where he alleges the importance of living with dignity and finding meaningful meaning in every experience, no matter how crazy and crazy it may be.

Do you remember that we all have a particular way of seeing things? Well, what happens to us has no meaning in itself, we give it to them. If someone knocks on your door and begins to read you a passage from the Bible, we understand the reason for his visit.

In his book, Victor Frankl explains the terrible experience he went through a few years in the concentration camp. Do you think he got depressed because the universe was unfair to him? No, he adopted a posture of resilience to "move forward". He did not victimize himself, he allowed the strength we all have to emerge and committed himself to improving his life on the basis of that tragedy.

Contribute.

He forged himself as a psychologist to help others reverse some chilling situation of his past life. What better example than him to do so! Only when he felt strong, he could be an example for others and guide, advise and guide. Only when he got practice helping himself did he begin to help the world.

Do you think you can bring meaning to other people's lives? Only when you can contribute to yourself, I said! The essential thing is to have the predisposition, example of life and eagerness to discover each human universe as if it were the very constellation of the Big Dipper.

Searching for your sense of life.

Next I will show you some exercises that you can use to discover your sense of life, or as it would be said in the oriental culture Ikigai or reason to live:

  • Step : Be grateful.

What does it mean to wake up every day? Exactly, one more day of life you have. Opening your eyes and immediately remembering debts or unpleasantness will only generate another 24 hours of stress. So eliminate the pattern and be grateful for the health and warmth of home. Be grateful for everything you have. Remember to write it down so you don't leave anything in the remote possibility of forgetting it.

  • Step: Respect yourself.

By respect I mean take care of your sleep cycle, give your body activity, don't eat: nourish yourself. Have a space to "do nothing", listen to the silence and meditate. Take care of that being you carry with you as if she were your mother.

Your word is important, if one day you say you are going to go on a diet, comply with the most important person in the world. Keep it with you. Your brain will not measure the importance of the words you say if you usually do that, just say them.

  • Step: Value.

Not everything we give meaning to is positive. Love could also have a negative connotation for you: arguing or fear of losing that person, right? Value every detail, no matter how insignificant it may seem. Fear protects us, it is an innate reaction to survive, anxiety projects us mentally into the future so let's organize our present to reach the FUTURE and better manage that anxiety. Enjoy every detail, the good: the sky, the clouds, a good morning sentence or the bad: a fight between siblings, which could contribute to express disagreements, set limits and in the long term build a harmonious coexistence.

  • Step: Keep your goals in mind.

Does what you are doing today put you on track for your goal tomorrow? Get excited every minute that you are climbing one more step on that ladder of dreams. Every step counts to climb in your personal projection and climb to the top of the mountain. Don't be intimidated by anyone, not even by yourself. Remember how demanding and hard you can be on yourself and the resistance to change that you provoke, as well as the key role you have to keep going until the bad is good and the good is spectacular.
