Before diving into strategies, it is essential to understand the nature of habits. Habits are automatic routines ingrained in our behavior. They can be both positive and negative, and often form as responses to specific cues or triggers. To modify or eliminate unwanted habits, we need to address both the triggers and the rewards associated with them.

Self-Awareness and Deep Reflection

The first step in modifying or eliminating habits is to cultivate self-awareness. Reflect on the habit you want to change and analyze when, where and why it occurs. What are the triggers?
