Maintaining adequate hydration is essential in the care and preservation of our health. Water is necessary in almost all the processes and functions that take place inside our body. Every structure of our body needs water to function normally, which is why this liquid is essential for human life. When our body has low levels of hydration, we begin to experience a series of disorders that become more severe as this condition progresses in our body, our body can withstand weeks without eating, but only a few days without drinking water before suffering irreversible damage or death itself.

What is hydration?

Organizing our hydration

One of the most widespread recommendations regarding the way in which we should carry out our hydration is to organize it according to the moments when our body's water requirements or demands increase. We must understand that the idea is not that a person should drink three liters of water at any given moment and thus meet his or her daily requirements. Our body loses water every minute, and the more physical activities we do and the warmer the temperature, the more water we use and the more dehydrated we become.
