Transcription Macro minerals

Minerals are one of the most important nutrients needed by the human body to maintain adequate health patterns. The properties of these nutrients provide benefits that have an impact on practically all the physical and chemical processes that take place inside our organism. There is a group of minerals, which due to their properties and characteristics, have been considered essential minerals for human health. These essential minerals are classified in two subgroups, the macrominerals and the microminerals.

During the development of this guide, we will be analyzing some of the general benefits that these macrominerals provide to the human organism and how they are involved in the maintenance and preservation of our body's health.

Types of macrominerals. Properties.

Sodium: Sodium is one of the most consumed macrominerals worldwide. It is known for its common use as common salt to season our meals. Sodium provides benefits related to the water balance in our body and with the processes of development and contraction of the muscles of our body. Its characteristics also make sodium a very useful mineral for the benefit of our nervous system. Potassium: Potassium is a mineral with a wide spectrum of effects in our organism. Like sodium, this mineral acts in a beneficial way in maintaining the balance of fluids in our body. It is a very useful mineral for those who perform heavy exercise loads, since it participates and favors muscle contraction processes. Calcium: We probably all know that one of the most important functions that calcium plays in our body is the care, strengthening and maintenance of our bones and teeth. However, calcium also fulfills other important functions, such as participating in the coagulation of our blood, the regulation of blood pressure and the strengthening of our immune system, helping us to prevent and counteract various diseases that threaten our quality of life. Chloride: Chloride is a mineral that fulfills a very special function, that of regulating the levels of acidification in our stomach. This allows us to optimize the decomposition processes of the food we eat during our meals, so that it can be used to obtain the nutrients that our body demands.

Magnesium: Magnesium is a mineral that is widely consumed throughout the world, either through the many foods that are rich in this nutrient or through the various types of nutritional supplements that are on the market. Its popularity is due to the multiple positive effects it brings to our organism.

Among the most important is that it participates in the production of proteins, which is a macronutrient of extreme necessity for the health of our body. Among other functions, magnesium actively participates in the processes of muscle development and contraction and in strengthening our immune system. Phosphorus: Phosphorus is closely related to the health of our bone structure. It is also important in the preservation and care of our teeth. Among other important functions of this mineral is that of being an excellent regulator of our stomach acids. Sulfur: Sulfur is known, above all, for its extensive benefits for the production of collagen in our body. This makes this nutrient an essential element in the care of our bones, the health of our skin, ligaments and tendons. Sulfur is acquired as part of the proteins present in some foods such as fish, eggs, meats, among others.
