The Challenge of Taking 100% Responsibility

I propose a practical and transformative challenge: think of an area of your life that is not going as well as you would like it to be.

It could be a worrying situation regarding your work, a personal relationship, a health problem, or a task that you have been avoiding for a long time.

The exercise consists of asking yourself what would happen if you took 100 percent responsibility in that area, forgetting about blaming others or yourself.

You must completely let go of the idea of who is right or who is wrong, and simply accept full responsibility for the situation.

This act of claiming responsibility is a fundamental step in being able to move towards a locus of control that is much more internal, strong, and resilient.

The Distinction between Cause and Contribution

Taking responsibility does not mean that you are the cause of everything what happens, especially the hard things that happen in life.

It's about seeing and honestly acknowledging your part in contributing to the current situation, as well as the choices you've made that have led you to this point.

You will begin to feel much better the moment you acknowledge your part, as this is the first step in being able to reclaim your personal power.

By stopping placing the responsibility elsewhere, you relinquish the role of victim and place yourself in a position of power from which you can take action.

It's a shift in mindset that allows you to stop being a passive bystander and become the primary agent of change in your own life.

The Questions That Transform Perspective

Once you have taken this full responsibility, you must ask yourself the following question: what would you do differently from this very moment on?

From this new position of power, you must also ask yourself what new and different options you would choose to be able to change the course of the situation that worries.

These questions force you to stop thinking about the problem and start focusing on actively seeking solutions that are within your control.

The focus shifts from the unchanging past to the present and future, where
