Be your own coach - coaching
Good morning. We have already been exchanging a lot of information that we can begin to put into practice. Each one will do it in his own way, at his personal time and conditions. Some of you may already be involved in the business environment and need this little incentive as a complement, and others are just starting a form of business.
We are training as a professional business coach to guide a company and its members to success, provide consulting, advice and help foster better social relationships in general. Then halfway through the journey the question arises, >how do I know if I am heading in the right direction? My job is to guide, but >who guides me? >How to be my own coach?
It is evident that today we all want to reach our goals with more efficiency and determination to make the road to success possible.
Being your own coach means taking on the challenge of being your own leader, having to deal with yourself, re-educating yourself. So much in the process is achieved by awakening intuition through self-knowledge and self-criticism, knowing how to manage your thoughts in all areas of life in general. Being your own coach allows you to value the advantages and not the limitations of your own capabilities. Once you are immersed in the process you will know that you must establish order and control in your regular habits and learn to manage your time. Then you are already your own boss, so you must demand the maximum to get to that place where you want to be, nobody is going to do it for you.
It is essential to recognize that the coaching process is a matter of constancy, since we are always managing information and new ways to resolve conflicts and during this long road to learning there is only one limiting factor, ourselves. >Where are the answers we need? First, before starting the machine we must check that it is in perfect condition. Here I propose some aspects where to start working from an internal questioning where we will need to learn to cultivate concentration and balance to develop willpower and improve our mood. In other words. Grease the machinery.
First, it is important to reflect internally on your emotional situation. What impulses allow you to move forward and what are the difficulties that do not allow you to move forward. Generally your emotional state will define with what impetus you will develop. For example, if you have had good or bad news from family, friends or previous businesses, you must be clear that it will influence your will to undertake and you must learn to control your emotions in order to make the best of the situation. You may not be responsible for the emotional state you are in, but you are responsible for the time you remain immersed in it.
Establishing the priority of the objectives is crucial for our progress, since we may have many goals to achieve with our business project, or in our life, but once we declare our objectives, establishing an order to focus on the most urgent ones helps every step we take to be with security and without haste. In this way it is better to do a self-evaluation of performance and the process after a certain time.
Often the idea of undertaking arises, but the fear of failure stops us, being objective with our real situation or what we have in hand. We cannot allow the difficulties that exist or may arise to bring down our emotionality and desire to prosper. We simply take into account these difficulties to give them coherent solutions to the needs of the company. We can always find a solution when we remain in a state of equanimity and reflection on the matter, adversities arise to test our maturity and ability to manage other ways to get where we want, the important thing about the event is always to learn from the experience it generates and not to stop.
Keeping orderly with respect to schedules and dates, having a calendar of beginnings and endings to accomplish actions will facilitate the work in a profitable way to establish a balance between professional and private life. In addition to helping you meet goals and advance in stages of growth, it will make it easier for you to be the owner of your time and therefore of your well-being. You can imagine how difficult it can be to maintain this discipline. It will be good for you to respect the order you put in your plans because you are the boss, the company and the employee, you are the Coach.
In the same way that we make an optimistic plan, it is essential to have a plan B for moments of economic and emotional crisis. Not only can we see that we will succeed in our actions, we must also consider what happens if we fail or there is an external crisis factor that gets out of our hands. Realistically, it is not healthy to think that everything will always be fine and it is good to prepare for unexpected moments.
Despite being cautious, we are not safe from making mistakes, it is only human to know when we need help with an issue we don't know how to handle. We can receive this professional help from other coaches, but also family and friends fill us with experience that we can share later in any field. Remember that we can learn from everything around us and anyone has something valuable to contribute to our training.
Motivation in this case represents a relevant percentage to maintain a state of discipline and as we can see it is not an easy thing to be your own Coach, but when we manage to keep our state of mind conscious of the challenge we assume when we order ourselves, we will find it easier to help others on the long road to success.
