Selecting words.
We know that it is unfavorable to make negative statements, but we have not yet found the right words, we are in a state of blockage. Carefully selecting what we will say to our children in a situation determines much of how we engage in a coherent conversation.
If we are under stress and have made the mistake of making a negative statement regarding their behavior, then we need to pause and intelligently reverse the information. Finding the right words may take some time, so it is advisable to act with caution so as not to damage their emotionality or ruin the moment with a scolding of other magnitudes. It is important to have arguments at hand to strengthen the communicative flow with young people. When we speak to them with insecurity during the reprimand, it can denote that we are not clear about what we want them to do.
Get to the core.
It will be better to maintain order, it is good to walk inside the house to avoid accidents; this is an effective way to address young people when they disturb the order at home.
Many times we insist on imposing a pattern of behavior distant from the assimilation of the children, of superficial or uninteresting effect. We need to get to the heart of the matter, that point where we can really change the situation from the young person's point of view. It is unnecessary to make resistance when they have not understood the importance of their obedience.
Getting results.
The way to deal with conflicts is mainly manifested in knowing if we are getting satisfactory results. Once we detect that we are far from a good solution, then we must change the way we approach to achieve better success.
