The knowledge factor covers a very wide spectrum for the human being, where to start when there is so much information? Our work as life coaches is based on the education and formation of people, and from a human sense the best way to educate people in our environment is to do it from our own life experience. There may be many who resort to an academic education and it is correct because it is already deductible that schools and universities form you as a professional in a specific field and also certify their students with degrees that affirm the preparation they have received. But in many cases our performance in the field is what shows others if we are sufficiently prepared for the job.

The study.

The part where we begin to encourage education is through study. Being aware of what this stage of training represents for our future as a life coach is the first step in recognizing that every event on our long journey will be part of the experience we will pass on to others. Every type of matter related to our growth will play a relevant role at some point in our lives, therefore it is advisable to invest in our preparation because it will be, for those who come to us, the best source of reference. Educating from experience favors a relationship of equality between the client and the Coach, making the learning process and the client's participation more interactive.

Work and experience.

As it is to be noted, our performance in the field of action, that is to say, the day to day can be a good source of important experience to educate the environment and ourselves. Imagine how it would be when we know a lot about a certain subject but we have never put it into practice, it would be something difficult to solve if we do not have some previous experience. Our work as life coaches is focused on transmitting to our clients experience and knowledge for the solution of many of their conflicts. Most of the time we are learning and living a type of experience with each client we work with.

Experience as learning.

In many educational centers in some parts of the world there is a teaching system that shows you the content of study and rigid solutions to the questions. On the other hand, in other educational systems, guides used in Coaching are put into practice in order to stimulate reflective learning in the student. Living the experience as learning can help us to develop our cognitive capacities and transmit, more than information, knowledge. Otherwise, when we just assume the information as it is, it is very likely that we do not stimulate enough our capacity to generate reflective criteria with an individual or collective solution.

Personal capabilities.

Each person has certain necessary capacities that allow him/her to develop in one or several specific fields. What role would experience play in the development of our personal capacities? The good thing is that, as we have been talking about, each person can generate his/her own answer to this because it constitutes a stimulus for an endless dialogue. The elaboration of questions for us as Coaches facilitates an interaction with which we can generate gradual changes in our environment. Our personal capacities tell us how far we can go or how far we still have to experience to reach the horizon we desire. So, does educating from experience contribute to the development of our personal capacities? It could simply be understood as a process in which we give and receive experience.
