Creating a harmonious line between our aspirations and our ability to change from external positions that are not always favorable, is something that requires the design of an appropriate strategy. Honesty, a valuable quality
The well-known phrase "You have to give to receive", illustrates very well the importance of honesty when a client begins his work sessions with the coach and both exchange opinions about the client's current reality, allowing the professional to complete a profile of his client as broad as possible based on the information the client shares with him. The accuracy of the coach's strategy for the process of personal advancement depends largely on the client's honesty.
When talking to the coach about certain aspects of their reality, the client may feel uncomfortable and even lack the emotional strength to address the issues, however, the specialized knowledge of the coach can solve this problem by putting into practice resources such as the Socratic questionnaire, through which the coach will lead the client to expose the necessary data with which he/she needs to work. In this way, honesty becomes a mobilizing quality that enhances the client's change as they move towards their goals.
Importance of having a vision
When a client is determined to take action and change his reality, although he feels the motivation to move towards his achievements, he needs the experienced accompaniment of his coach, who can provide him with various methods and techniques that help him to stay with the necessary energy to face the challenges of the change process, thus avoiding the emotional exhaustion that causes damage and loss of time and learning to self-manage in the midst of the daily routine.
One of these methods are mental exercises that through imagination create a future vision of what the client wishes to obtain and how he/she sees him/herself in this new reality created in his/her mind, stimulating in the person the desire to change.
Using our imagination for our own benefit is a very powerful resource and is within everyone's reach, it is not a gift reserved only for great geniuses, it only takes someone with the patience and knowledge necessary to teach, step by step, how to create this vision of the future with the imagination.
It is very stimulating to know that more and more, specialties such as professional coaching can demonstrate, in the light of scientific knowledge, the real basis of these trainings that the coach makes available to clients. Such is the case of these mental exercises to create a vision of the future reality through imagination, because today it is known that our brain activates selective mechanisms that synchronize the information we receive from the external environment with the mental portrait we have created, linking our reality with our goals.
