Transcription Healthy lifestyle with vegetarian nutrition.

In nutrition and fitness there is a lot of reference to the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, certain types of food and exercise routines are often suggested, focused on the mere fact of approaching this lifestyle, but on many occasions it is necessary to know in depth the definition of what we are looking for before acting in correspondence to it. That is why we believe it is important, through this guide, to approach the basic concepts and fundamentals that allow us to define scientifically what we should consider as healthy.

Only by having these aspects clear and well defined can we set concrete goals and measure the results of our actions.

Definition of healthy: Healthy is not an ambiguous definition as many may think, we have scientific studies that work on measurable and quantifiable patterns, therefore it is logical to enhance the variables that bring us closer to the result we want to achieve. The World Health Organization, by its acronym WHO, has defined the concept of healthy as that state of general physical well-being, which includes areas such as mental, psychological and social health, not limited to the absence of diseases. Therefore, we would not consider a person as "healthy" just because he/she does not have a traditional disease in his/her organism.

That said, a healthy lifestyle is one that allows us to live a life where our patterns and interactions with the environment around us actively contribute to the maintenance of health in the various sectors mentioned above.

Nutrition, exercise and healthy lifestyle: Nutrition and exercise are two of the fundamental factors in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Our physical well-being is significantly affected by what we eat and the level of our physical activity. We do not ignore that many people have diseases that unfortunately escape their behavior or attitude towards life, they may be genetic or acquired by chance, so their diet or physical activity is not the cause of these conditions, but even in these cases, a lifestyle change may be sufficient to significantly alleviate the effects produced by them.

You may suffer from diabetes or a severe stomach problem due to your genetics. By making some changes in what you eat you can work on your insulin sensitivity or stomach inflammation, obtaining improvements in the behavior of these diseases. That is why nutrition and exercise are used as medical treatments in the same way we use medications for these purposes.

Eating correctly and maintaining an active exercise routine can prevent the appearance of various cardiovascular diseases, control cholesterol, lower triglycerides, improve bone-muscular structure and reduce the appearance of cerebrovascular problems. Adequate training influences every aspect of the organism, extends life, improves our physical and motor abilities.

Mental health: Mental health is that state of emotional and psychological well-being that allows us to enjoy our environment in a pleasant way, where our emotions and mood are in accordance with a high self-esteem. Exercise has proven to be a key factor to work depression and anxiety. It combats hyperactivity, improves mood and allows us to fall asleep more easily.

It can be said that exercising is the most effective natural way to keep our mind healthy. The neurological system benefits from the blood stimuli produced by exercising. Several scientific studies highlight the benefits of exercising in the prevention of diseases such as Alzheimer's disease.

Having said all this, nutrition and exercise go hand in hand in a healthy lifestyle, affecting all aspects of human health. If we work correctly on maintaining a healthy diet and an active exercise routine, we can approach our goals more easily.
