Being kind, both to others and to oneself, is a fundamental and highly effective strategy for increasing positive emotions and, consequently, happiness and overall well-being.

Being kind is considered one of the quickest, easiest and most effective ways to experience happiness.

When you act with kindness towards other people, an almost automatic positive emotional change occurs in yourself.

This response is due, in part, to the brain releasing neurotransmitters such as serotonin, associated with pleasure and well-being.

Multifaceted Benefits of Kindness

The practice of kindness brings at least four important benefits:
