Transcription Raven's Correction and Interpretation
Correction and Scoring Procedure
To correct the test, a correction template can be used on the answer sheet to quickly check the correct answers.
The number of correct answers should be summed vertically for each series and then a total sum should be obtained.
It is essential to check the consistency of the score (discrepancy) to ensure that the subject did not answer randomly.
The test may be invalidated if it is detected that the subject did not understand the instructions, responded randomly, was overly anxious, or attempted to mislead the examiner.
Diagnosis by Percentiles
Once the total score is obtained, it is crossed with the chronological age of the subject in the corresponding scale table to obtain the percentile.
Qualitative interpretation is based on this percentile range: a percentile of 95 or above indicates "Superior" intellectual ability; the 90th and 75th percentile correspond to "Above Average"; the 50th percentile indicates "Average" (mean) intelligence; the 25th and 10th percentile indicate "Below Average" ability; and a percentile of 5 or below suggests "Poor" ability.
Summary
The correction is made with a template to verify correctness, adding the correct answers per series. It is essential to calculate the discrepancy to ensure consistency of scoring and to rule out randomness of responses
