Transcription The Ideal World of Communication

The ideal world of communication is one in which interactions are based on honesty, support, and collaboration, rather than manipulation and blame.

In such an environment, people own their mistakes and work together to find solutions, without blame or accusation.

This environment is the complete opposite of gaslighting, as there is no hidden agenda or attempt to make the other person doubt his or her own reality.

Sincerity as the basis of mutual respect

In an ideal world, when someone makes a mistake, he or she admits it honestly and apologizes, which builds respect in the team.

Instead of blaming, others respond with empathy and support, and focus on how they can make things better together.

The leader, for example, not only acknowledges the employee's effort despite imperfect circumstances, but also opens a dialogue to find better ways to work together in the future.

Leadership through kindness

This supportive mindset is not about being extra nice or avoiding criticism, but about being productive.

Teams that understand the importance of kindness and continuous improvement are fantastic places to work because members feel safe, comfortable and motivated.

When building a team, a leader should look for people who, even in the face of challenges, respond with kindness and support rather than blame or manipulation.

This can be identified through interview questions about how a person reacted to a teammate's mistake, looking for clues that reveal whether their response is collaborative or if, on the contrary, they seek to blame the other.

Such a world is more productive, as energy is directed toward problem solving rather than infighting.
