In this new meeting we will be approaching a peculiar topic: How can we establish a balance between health and business? To what extent is health important for us as business coaches? We can argue that health is an indispensable resource for work. Being physically and mentally fit for any profession is a determining factor between us and the company. The sense of how we manage our well-being and its sustainability in the social and personal sphere is a way to establish a balance between health and business.

Health is important for us as a coach, because within this topic our business and its processes are also involved.

Bringing work home.

To keep our health and business in good condition it is necessary to set boundaries between the time we dedicate to work and the time we dedicate to ourselves in particular. One of the conflicts between personal wellness and business is taking work home. Many times we take our work home in order to get ahead with work or to dedicate more time to it than usual. It is neither healthy nor advisable to bring work home because it can cause instability at home and excess stress, anxiety, depression and insomnia. An integral worker is one who manages to balance his work time and his personal time without necessarily mixing them, living in a healthier environment.

Vices and business.

An issue of concern for both personal health and its impact on business is vices. Vices are destructive of any good habit of a worker or business entrepreneur, so it is good to stay away from alcohol and cigarettes that affect our economy and behavior. This does not mean that we deprive ourselves on a special occasion to enjoy a good cocktail with friends, but life is best lived in a balanced way. The vices are usually expensive, therefore, if you spend most of your income in sustaining vices then you would not be a responsible person and your business will go bankrupt.

Life schedules.

Something very important to know how to manage health and business correctly are the life schedules. When we assume the responsibility of a business or we are workers we owe ourselves to the schedules to manage the time and to be productive during the work. The main benefit of managing our life schedules is to have a good amount of free time for enjoyment and well-being. A business without schedules cannot enjoy productivity; time rules everything, and a person who knows how to manage it always has free time.

Health.

We know that nobody likes to be sick or feel physical discomfort, but when you feel this way it is better not to go to work. Remember that you are interacting with clients and being unwell is not a good image for the company, besides, you may cause rejection by clients.
