We continue with this Business Coach course and now we present you with another interesting topic to discuss; productivity. In the previous section we made reference to interpersonal skills and these are a rewarding tool to manage our productivity results. The quality of the product or service is a factor that speaks for itself of how productive our business, our team or ourselves are. The right way for a company to increase its profitability is to increase productivity. To ensure productivity in a general sense we will see some aspects of study that influence and we must master.

Time management.

One of the keys to ensure greater productivity in a business is proper time management. To begin to manage time, the first thing to do is to establish priorities in order to give an outlet to the most urgent tasks and set deadlines to know how much time is available.

It is not advisable to carry out several tasks at the same time, to balance the loads it is more viable to distribute the work among the team. For a better time management and to guarantee an improvement in productivity, it is advisable to delegate tasks among several work departments. To ensure more productivity during working time, it is necessary to eliminate all possible distractions and avoid conversations on topics unrelated to work. It is also important to manage time by planning the next day in advance.

Resource management.

Once the current situation has been analyzed, we turn our attention to resource management. When we are immersed in the productivity of our business it is vital to know what resources we have to carry out our goals. Many times we have a brilliant plan but we do not take into account which resources to use and this can interfere in the productivity of our company. When we properly manage the resources we have, we can plan our limits with greater security. If we make a correct resource management we will know what kind of investment is needed to ensure greater productivity for our business.

Organization.

It is important to ensure productivity, an internal organization of our business because with this we can know how to manage the resources we have. The organization is a function of which the managers of the company or business are in charge in a generalized sense, on a large scale; but it is important that each worker is aware of the importance of both internal and physical organization in their workspace to ensure the productivity of the workday. In addition, when we communicate between work teams we can enjoy a better organization.

Productivity efficiency.

Efficiency is an important issue within our business; all companies seek with their productivity to be efficient. Efficiency is the result of all our effort and productivity. It is possible to be productive but not necessarily effective, this is only achieved when our company fulfills its function; that is to say that it satisfies the needs of the client. For this reason it is essential to know that being productive is not being efficient; but efficiency depends on the time, effort and productivity of our business. Another thing to take into account is that, immersed in productivity, we do not take into account that we can spoil the efficiency of our service and we must be careful with this.
