Transcription DETOX Soups
In this lesson we will show you how to prepare delicious detox soups. These meals are not only highly nutritious when you add the right ingredients, they are also easy to prepare. Contrary to popular belief, there is a wide variety of soups and their flavor can be enhanced with tasty yet nutritious foods.
Mixed vegetable soup:
- Heat a pot.
- Melt 1 tablespoon of coconut oil.
- Add 2 finely chopped scallions.
- Add 2 cloves of garlic previously chopped.
- Cook these ingredients, stirring for about 5 minutes.
- Add to the pot 3 cups of chopped mushrooms, 1 cup of carrots cut into small cubes, 2 cups of broccoli.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Add two small spoonfuls of grated ginger.
- Add turmeric and cinnamon to taste.
- Sauté these ingredients for 3 minutes.
- Add vegetable stock to cover the ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Cook the ingredients until the vegetables soften.
- Serve the soup.
- Add seaweed for garnish and serve with a citrus juice of your choice.
Onion soup with watercress:
- In a pot place 4 tablespoons of avocado oil.
- Add 2 medium sized poros previously cut into half moons.
- Add 4 small yellow onions cut into strips.
- Add 4 cloves of garlic previously chopped.
- Peel 2 green pears without skin and cut them into small cubes.
- Add to the pot.
- Add 2 teaspoons of fresh rosemary previously cut into small pieces.
- Add 4 sprigs of fresh thyme.
- Add 6 cups of vegetable stock to the pot.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Bring to a boil and cook until vegetables are tender.
- Serve the soup in bowls with a small spoonful of olive oil.
- Serve with a citrus juice of your choice.
Edamame and basil detox soup:
- Add 4 tablespoons of olive oil to a skillet.
- Cut 1 onion into thin strips.
- Add it to the pan and sauté over low heat.
- Peel 2 medium-sized potatoes and cut into small cubes.
- Add the diced potatoes to the stir-fry and cook for about 10 minutes over medium heat.
- Add 2 cups of edamame to the pan with the ingredients.
- Add 2 tablespoons of curry powder to the pan with the ingredients.
- Add 2 tablespoons of paprika to the pan with the ingredients.
- Add to the pan with the ingredients ground cayenne to taste.
- Stir ingredients for 2 minutes.
- Pour in 8 cups of vegetable broth.
- Stir while the broth is boiling.
- Add 8 more cups of broth as it evaporates.
- Boil until potato is tender.
