Transcription Focus on the positive. the wheel of life
A practical strategy for fostering positivity is to consciously identify those areas of life where things are working well or where there is no predominant negativity.
The tool known as the "Wheel of Life" is a method of self-assessment that facilitates this identification and helps to focus attention on the satisfying aspects of existence.
The "Wheel of Life" Tool
The Wheel of Life is a common exercise in coaching that allows people to evaluate their level of satisfaction in different life domains.
These domains typically include categories such as health, career, love, spirituality, family, finances, fun and friendships.
The exercise consists of rating, generally on a scale of 0 to 10, the current level of satisfaction in each of these areas.
By visually representing these scores on a pie chart, you get a "wheel" that provides a snapshot of balance and satisfaction in different aspects of life.
Identifying Areas of Strength and Satisfaction
By looking at the personal Wheel of Life, it is possible to identify not only the areas that may need improvement (those with lower scores).
But also, and crucially, those where negativity is "not" present or where a high degree of satisfaction is experienced (higher scores).
For example, a person might discover that, although they feel dissatisfaction in their health or spirituality, their professional life, love life, and relationships with friends and family are sources of great positivity.
This recognition is fundamental, as it allows us to appreciate and celebrate the aspects that are already working well.
Reflection and Action Plan
After completing the Wheel of Life, a series of reflection questions are proposed: How do you feel when you see the shape of your wheel? In what areas do you feel most positive a
