Transcription Anti-aging

Anti-aging is a much debated term worldwide, presented as a series of measures and treatments aimed at slowing down the aging process or reversing it to a certain extent. The pharmaceutical industry and medicine in general, has been studying for several years now, investing a great deal of time and capital in finding feasible solutions with the objective of making people look younger than their real biological age. These efforts have led to the fact that today we have a wide range of treatments that offer the possibility of looking younger, with physical features that are not typical of our age.

During the development of this guide we will be addressing some of the most important elements that revolve around anti-aging as a solution to the natural aging process.

Do aesthetic treatments work?

Aesthetic treatments, aimed at delaying the appearance of the distinctive physical features of aging or reversing them to some extent, are becoming increasingly popular among both men and women. Probably the most visible aesthetic feature of aging is found in our skin.

The skin suffers wear and tear over the years, this wear and tear is natural, as the degree of hydration changes as a result of the various natural processes that human beings undergo. In the same way, the continuous exposure to the sun, our diet, our habits for a long time, our own genetics, among many other factors, will determine the level of wear that our skin has when we reach a certain age.

Treatments such as botox, various cosmetic surgeries, dermal fillers and many others, are used by millions of people in order to achieve a more youthful skin. These treatments do work and there is plenty of evidence that attests to the numerous changes that a person experiences once they undergo them.

Is it wrong to undergo aesthetic treatments?

It is valid to clarify that there is no treatment that can make you look as if you were twenty years old, fixing wrinkles in your eyes or improving your lips will clearly affect your image in a positive way, but wanting to look really old or much younger than yours is not a matter of retouching some aspects.

That said, it is not wrong to undergo anti-aging cosmetic treatments, just as it is not wrong to apply makeup or wear clothes that make us look better. The mistake is in believing that the best solution to treat aging is in aesthetic touch-ups, because we would be ignoring the importance of maintaining good habits and taking care of our mental and physical health.

Taking care of our health

As we said before, good habits and the way we take care of our physical and mental health will significantly influence the impact that the aging process has on your physical appearance. The best way to combat aging is through prevention. Doing sports, maintaining a positive mental state, avoiding stress, eating properly, getting enough sleep, among many other measures, will be much more effective than undergoing cosmetic operations.

When we apply anti-aging treatments we can have an impact on certain physical features and therefore contribute to improve our physical appearance, but this will not reduce your biological age, but it will make up the effects of aging on your body. Taking care of our health if we can influence our biological age in a comprehensive manner, which is why we insist that although aesthetic treatments are not negative at all, we should not ignore the importance of taking care of our health if we want to look younger.
