B - Break It Up

Besides the acronym "PEAR," there are other suggestions we can group under the word "BOULDER" to help us overcome our natural tendency to procrastinate.

The letter "B" stands for "Break It Up," which involves breaking a large task into very small chunks and only committing to doing the first one.

For example, if you're putting off painting a room, you might tell yourself that all you'll do today is go buy the paint.

Once you've started on the first and easiest step, you're much more likely to feel the pull to continue and finish the rest of the job.

This technique works because the childlike part of our mind, which resists big tasks, has no problem taking a small, seemingly insignificant action.

O - Over-exaggerate

The letter "O" stands for "Over-exaggerate," a technique that involves exaggerating future consequences in order to motivate yourself to take action in the present moment.

You can either imagine that the future will be incredibly bright and fantastic once you've finished the task, feeling the immense satisfaction this will bring.

By visualizing an extremely positive or extremely negative future, you create a powerful emotional stimulus that pushes you to act right now to achieve it or to circumvent it.

Even if it is not true at the moment, you should repeat phrases to yourself like "I do everything immediately," because if you say it, it will eventually become reality.

The "L" stands for "Leave It Out," which is the simple yet effective tactic of leaving work out in the open so you can't avoid or forget it.

If you leave your homework papers on your kitchen table, every time you walk by it, your mind will remind you that you need to do that work.

D - Delegate & E - Enjoy It

The letter "D" stands for the option to "Delegate" or delegate the task to someone else, a very useful strategy for the things that give you the most anxiety.

There might be someone who would love to do what you're putting off, or you could even pay a person or service to do it for you.

The "E" stands for "Enjoy It," which is the technique of finding a way to enjoy the task yo
