Transcription Pomodoro technique
There are several techniques that have been developed in order to help students to have an efficient study methodology, which enhances and accelerates their effectiveness in the fulfillment of their tasks and the use of work time.
One of these techniques is known as the "Pomodoro Technique", which has become famous for the use and management of time on which its method is based, where work and rest are combined in different periods to achieve greater student performance. The following is a general overview of the basic characteristics that distinguish this technique from others, so that you can incorporate it into your study days.
What does it consist of?
The pomodoro technique bases its essence on time periods, for which a timer is used to mark the study time and the rest time. These periods of study and rest are divided into four blocks, these blocks are called pomodoro.
In essence we start from the basis of structuring the study in short but efficient periods, during the study time the student will make the most of the time available, making use of a timer if necessary, in order to exert greater pressure on the use of time. When the counter indicates that the study time is over, a short break is taken, also measured by a timer, to resume the study in a second period.
This process is repeated four times in a row. After the fourth occasion, a longer break is taken and a new block of four more study periods is opened.
Efficiency of the technique
The pomodoro technique has proven to be very efficient, which is understandable if we take into account that it plays with many important factors when it comes to increasing student performance. The fact of dividing tasks into short periods relieves the workload and the stress of undergoing long periods of work. In addition to this, it has a very interesting reward factor, the student knows that he will soon have his rest period, so the work time is the sacrifice to rest and replenish.
It achieves a higher level of concentration and intensity during the study time and provides an organized and structured method to face the work, being these two characteristics of utmost importance in the use of time and the increase of student performance.
If we take advantage of each pomodoro to commit ourselves to a series of tasks to be performed, we can increase the demand and performance per period.
Structure of the periods
As we have mentioned, the idea is to structure the time in four short periods with their respective breaks, afte
