Transcription Integration of the [I]
Alignment of Thought, Feeling and Action.
Personal integrity and peace of mind arise from congruence. When what we think, what we feel and what we do are aligned, we experience personal power.
Inner conflict and anxiety arise from incoherence: thinking one thing (I want health), feeling another (laziness) and doing another (eating poorly).
Personal development work seeks to align these three vectors towards the same direction.
Internal Conflict Resolution (Parts)
We often have "parts" in conflict (one part wants security, another wants adventure).
Integrating the Self involves listening to all parties, understanding their positive intent (both want well-being) and negotiating an internal agreement that meets deep needs without sabotage. Integration eliminates self-civil war.
Authenticity and Congruence
Being congruent means being the same in public and in private, true to one's values.
This inner solidity generates trust in others and, more importantly, trust in oneself.
The integration of the Self is the state where the social mask and the inner essence merge, allowing a transparent life without the effort of pretending.
