Transcription Gaining muscle in endomorph bodies
Is it possible to develop muscle mass in endomorph bodies? Yes, it is possible; however, it is not simple. Endomorphic bodies present difficulties in gaining muscle due to their physical and metabolic characteristics, since at the same time that they usually present poorly defined muscles, they have to deal with the increase in body weight. A positive aspect for people with endomorphic bodies is that once they acquire a certain degree of muscle mass development, they retain it with less effort than other body types. In this lesson we will teach you the basic principles you should know if you want to gain muscle by following an endomorph diet. Nutrition: We can't talk about gaining muscle mass without first talking about nutrition. As you know, endomorph bodies have a tendency to gain weight and body fat. A neglect in the diet can cause the accumulation of fat in areas such as hips, buttocks, stomach, arms or other areas.
Endomorphic bodies gain weight proportionally, that is, a person with an ectomorphic body may show signs of weight gain in a certain area, the stomach for example; while an endomorph distributes the accumulated fat in various regions, ranging from the aforementioned to places such as the back and jowls; this is why they are identified by a wider and more robust appearance.
Among the aspects that should be taken care of in terms of diet, are to ensure not to consume more calories than recommended according to weight and height, and to maintain an adequate proportion of macronutrients in the diet.
It is recommended to increase the consumption of vegetables and meats. Animal protein is highly beneficial during muscle mass development processes, and among the most recommended foods are: lean meats, skinless chicken, eggs and tuna; fruits are a source of vitamins of great value, however their intake should be moderate due to the sugar content they contain, to which endomorphic bodies are sensitive.
In the diet of an endomorph body, simple carbohydrates and saturated fats should be reduced and, if possible, eliminated. Although, by correctly integrating a flexible diet to the endomorph we can achieve satisfactory results, the ideal is not to maintain the habit of consuming foods with these macronutrients. Physical training: The formula to achieve the development of muscle mass is to combine a good diet with training routines. As we explained at the beginning of the lesson, for endomorphic bodies, although with effort, it is possible to gain muscle, and the advantage of these bodies is that once they acquire a certain amount of muscle development, it is easy for them to maintain it. The physical traits that identify an endomorphic body combine well with those of a muscular person, in fact if we think about it, many of the people we see in gyms with defined and developed muscles have characteristics of endomorphic bodies or at least combined with these.
