KEY METRICS FOR REPORTING TO AUTHORITIES

The Internal Committee is required by law to prepare an Annual Report each calendar year. This document is an accountability tool to be sent to the employer and the District Officer (government authority).

The report should not contain names or identifiable details, but precise statistical data: number of complaints received in the year, number of complaints resolved (disposed of), number of cases pending for more than 90 days, number of awareness workshops conducted and the nature of the actions taken by the employer.

If statistician and nurse Florence Nightingale chaired the committee, her annual report would be a model of accuracy.

She would detail, "This year we received 5 complaints; 4 were resolved and 1 is still under investigation. We conducted 12 training workshops."

This data allows the government to monitor compliance with the law without violating the privacy of the individuals involved.

Failure to submit this report is a non-compliance that can result in fines.

INCLUSION OF DATA IN THE COMPANY'S ANNUAL REPORT

Corporate transparency has escalated to the board level. Recent regulations (such as the 2014 amendment to the Companies Rules mentioned in the text) oblige private organizations to include a statement in their Board Report (Board Report) confirming that they have constituted the Internal Committee in compliance with the law.

In addition, it is often required to disclose harassment cases in the annual financial or sustainability report, demonstrating to shareholders that the company manages its social and legal risks appropriately.

Let's imagine that tycoon Henry Ford presents the company's annual balance sheet to his investors.

Along with automobile production figures, he is required by law to include a "Regulatory Compliance" section stating, "The Ford Motor Company certifies that it has formed a Complaints Committee in accordance with law and has resolved 3 harassment cases this fiscal year."

Withholding this information is a violation of corporate policy that may invalidate the annual report to the company's corporate registry.

USING STATISTICS TO IMPROVE PREVENTIVE STRATEGIES

Beyond bureaucratic compliance, data collection serves strategic intelligence.

Analyzing trends in reporting (e.g., whether a specific department accumulates the most complaints) allows management to take targeted corrective action.

Regulatory agencies (such as the UGC for universities) use this data to assess the health of the national work environment.

If the strategist Sun Tzu were to analyze his army's annual reports and notice an increase in complaints in the archer division, he would not ignore the data.

He would use that i
