Well-being, analyzed from a general point of view, refers to a series of elements that make up the state we call "feeling good or bad". These elements, or edges, converge and interrelate to mark a series of needs that we seek to satisfy with our daily actions. Dissatisfaction within one of these edges inevitably influences the others. Knowing what are the most important interests and needs that we have within our individuality as human beings, it is easier to channel our efforts towards the search for adequate well-being.
During the development of this guide, we will be reviewing some of the most important aspects in the conformation of our well-being. Among these edges are: the spiritual, the physical and the social.
Spiritual edge
The spiritual aspect of well-being is the one that highlights a series of needs to be satisfied, which escape from the physical or tangible plane. Through the search for our spiritual well-being, we try to find our place in life, what motivates us to strive for progress. Finding the motives behind each of our actions is one of the most efficient ways to satisfy our spiritual needs.
Human beings are not only motivated by the physical plane, material things often do not have a great meaning in our lives if there are no deeper spiritual elements behind them. Finding goals within this plane of well-being is a very important engine to gather the strength to undertake new projects or finish old ones. The spiritual edge should be seen as the motive for every action to be taken. The more significant this motive is, the more effort we will put into our actions.
Physical edge
The edge that develops within the physical plane is one of the most influential when it comes to self-perceiving our state of well-being. This happens because the physical plane is the easiest to appreciate. While our spiritual side cannot be perceived through our senses, the physical is more superficial and is always visible to everyone.
Illnesses, eating problems, stress, inability to sleep, addictions or simple pain, are elements of the physical plane that will have a significant influence on how we feel and how we experience each of the events that transcend in our lives. It is not always possible to satisfy the physical plane in the way we wish. There are issues that are beyond our desires and actions. What we can do is learn to manage our weaknesses to obtain the best possible results.
