Transcription Sleep in study techniques

Learning is one of the most energy-demanding processes of the organism. Students, as a general rule, are subjected to a system that demands a constant adherence to discipline and constancy in the study, so the physical condition that they present will be decisive when measuring their performance. That said, rest is a stage of extreme importance for every student, it is as important to rest well as it is to dedicate the hours of study required for each subject.

When we are not at an early stage of our lives, we tend to be governed by laws imposed by our adults, who imperatively regulate our rest time. The problem with sleep begins to manifest itself more strongly as we grow older and begin to make certain decisions for ourselves, this makes us responsible for the management of our time and the place we give to sleep.

Taking into account the importance of this topic for anyone who is under a system of study, we will dedicate the following guide to analyze some of the most important aspects of sleep and its influence on learning.

Importance of sleep

Sleep is part of our body's natural restorative cycle. During the day we are subjected to different tasks that consume our energy and wear us out, this causes temporary damage to our body, which can be easily repaired if we give our body the necessary rest.

Our own body is capable of restoring and rebuilding the wear and tear of the day, by default it works as a highly efficient machinery, it is us with our actions that cause the imbalance of this, interrupting the natural processes and subjecting us to cycles of activity higher than we should.

In fact, we are so efficient that a bad night or an excess of activity during the day, by itself, does not cause any problem that cannot be solved with proper rest, the problem is in the continued bad practice, which leads to the accumulation and disorder of the body due to lack of rest.

Effects on the learning process

Lack of sleep produces a great amount of affectations to the learning process. It must be understood that the time when we sleep is the time when our brain has the time and conditions necessary to organize and manage the processes that occur in short-term memory. Interrupting this process can cause serious memory disorders, notably diminish student performance and affect the previous day's study hours.

Lack of sleep is one of the most common stress triggers during student life. Sleep, like stress, has the peculiar characteristic of accumulating, which explains why a weekend of much
