Education and Cultural Change: Deconstructing Romantic Love

The ultimate root of domestic violence is cultural. To eradicate it, punitive laws are not enough; we must dismantle the myths of romantic love that act as a breeding ground for abuse.

Ideas such as "jealousy is proof of love," "love can do anything" (even change an abuser) or the "better half" (needing the other to be complete) must be challenged from early education.

The new educational paradigm must teach that love is compatible with freedom and individual autonomy, not with possession or control.

Simultaneously, it is necessary to actively build a culture of peace within homes, transforming language and habits of interaction.

Moving from destructive criticism to positive affirmation ("blessing") and teaching children to resolve conflicts through negotiation and empathy, rather than authoritarian imposition, are the most powerful tools to prevent the intergenerational transmission of violence. Peace is a daily discipline that replaces domination with mutual respect.

Certification, Commitment and Final Message

The culmination of this specialized training represents not only an academic achievement, but the assumption of a profound ethical commitment.

By receiving certification, the professional becomes an agent of change with the technical capacity and moral obligation to detect the invisible and give voice to the silenced.

Whether from the clinic, the judicial bench, the school classroom or social activism, the knowledge acquired about the dynamics of power and control is a flashlight in the darkness for those who live under domestic terror.

The next step is to bring this knowledge into everyday practice: challenging prejudices, validating victims, protecting lives through accurate risk assessments, and actively contributing to building a society where home is finally the safe haven it should be, not a place of fear.

Recovery is possible, and the role of the expert is to illuminate that path to freedom and dignity. Transparency is a legal requirement.

Internal committees are required to write an annual report detailing the number of ca
