Transcription Losing weight with the carnivore diet

The carnivore diet has since its inception met with both resistance and support from the fitness and nutrition communities. The truth is that although it may seem a very controversial diet, over time it has proven its effectiveness against diseases of various indoles and its nutritional value as a weight loss diet.

Today it is easier to understand the fundamentals of this diet, and why eating only meat can help us lose weight easily. Throughout this guide we will show you the reasons for its effectiveness in weight loss and how you can take advantage of it as a reasonable alternative if your intention is to lose those extra pounds.

Eliminating the variety of foods

The first thing we can notice when we analyze the carnivorous diet is that it is monotonous regarding the type of food we can eat. By eliminating the variety of foods, and limiting it only to meats, we are getting rid of all those products rich in sugar and extremely harmful to our body.

The consumption of oils is reduced and the protein intake is considerably increased. In principle, just by doing these simple steps we are limiting the sources from which our body can acquire more weight, and we favor through the consumption of proteins, the processes of obtaining muscle mass.

This is not a very new contribution of the carnivorous diet, for many years we have had studies that support the thesis that eating only one type of food helps us to lose weight, perhaps the contribution is to eat only meat, because before this diet became so popular there were not many people who could agree that someone could eat only meat and lead a healthy life.

Ingesting only one macronutrient

Following the previous logic, there are certain particularities in ingesting only meats, animal protein as the only macronutrient intake satisfies considerably our appetite sensation. This leads to the fact that we need fewer calories than usual and that we voluntarily start to eat less than we did before.

By decreasing the entrance of calories to our organism we generate a caloric deficit, which is nothing more than the superiority in the burning of calories with respect to the obtaining of the same ones. All this, as you may have guessed, inevitably translates into a loss of body weight.

Insulin control

Having high levels of insulin in the blood can sabotage any attempt to lose weight, the explanation for this phenomenon is that the higher the insulin levels in our body, the more fat we accumulate. The carnivorous diet has shown considerable effectiveness in lowering blood insulin, therefore this diet will make it easier for us to eliminate unnecessary fat retention in our body.
