Transcription What is welfare?
The concept of wellness has been approached from different scientific and spiritual branches, being one of the most debated concepts over the years. The thesis of cataloging wellbeing as a state where we feel healthy, although correct, could be simplistic. Well-being has many interrelated edges and sub-layers that depend on each other, so that the effects suffered in one of them will inevitably be reflected in the others.
Understanding how our body works, from the physical and spiritual level, is essential when it comes to understanding more fully all that this concept encompasses. Being good or bad are not entirely subjective categories, although it is true that they respond to how we perceive ourselves and what we experience during our exchange with the environment that surrounds us, they also mediate a series of objective factors that act and can play in favor or against it.
During the development of this guide, we will be analyzing the concept of well-being from a more comprehensive vision, so that we can understand how it develops and what elements act on it.
Well-being from different perspectives
As we said before, well-being should not be reduced to feeling good or bad. When we experience a bad mood, a problem at work, a breakup, an illness or dissatisfaction with the place where we live, this can cause us to feel bad.
In that case our well-being would be affected, but it is likely that some of these elements are present and we do not feel bad from a conscious point of view. The fact that we do not feel bad does not mean that our well-being is not affected in the same way, only that it is likely that some of the edges where our well-being is developed are so satisfied that they manage to mask the damage received in the other.
The best way to imagine and understand the magnitude of this concept is to imagine well-being as a series of edges that make up a whole. We can be affected in one or several of these edges, while the others remain intact. When the damage is too great, we experience the sensation of discomfort that induces us to feel bad. A correct state of well-being is one where all the edges are satisfied.
Compensation of the edges of well-being
Whether we are talking about well-being from the physical, emotional, occupational, social, or any other of its edges, the affectation of one of them will have a significant impact on the others. It is useless to have our labor and economic desires satisfied if we do not have a good state
