Results of a vegetarian vegan vegetarian diet - nutrition vegetarian
When we associate food groups and health, most of the foods that have the best relationships are of vegetable origin: fruits, vegetables, legumes, seeds, nuts.
Of the animal products, we could say categorically that only fish and eggs have evidence of a positive and unequivocal relationship between their consumption and health. And the consumption of meat or dairy products is rather neutral or conflicting. Therefore, as a matter of probability, by incorporating more healthy foods into a well-designed diet, it is understandable to find good health outcomes. Not everything can be attributed to the ¨halo¨ effect surrounding vegans, as they also follow a healthier lifestyle. The diet is a determining factor in itself, although the vegetarian-vegan diet is often followed for other reasons: ethical, religious or environmental.
