Transcription Leader's Emotional Intelligence

Self-awareness, self-regulation and empathy.

Emotional intelligence is the critical competence that allows the leader to manage his own feelings and those of his team over and above momentary crises or difficulties.

This model is composed of key elements such as self-awareness, which is the ability to monitor one's own emotional state in any situation in order to use it strategically in future actions.

Self-regulation allows the leader to deliberately select the most appropriate emotion for each context, avoiding losing one's temper or acting impulsively in the face of stress.

However, empathy is perhaps the most indispensable characteristic; it is defined as the ability to feel and visualize life from another's perspective, allowing for active listening and deep communication.

An emotionally intelligent leader not only understands his or her people, but uses this understanding to resolve conflicts and exert a direct and positive influence on organizational behavior.

The leader as a catalyst of culture

An integral leader acts as the main dynamizer of organizational culture, transforming rituals and values into daily behaviors.

Beyond being a formal leader who only guides his direct subordinates, the authentic leader functions as a transversal catalyst who inspires his peers and superiors, fostering the creation of new leaders within the structure.

Their professional behavior, based on integrity and respect, serves as a mirror for others to identify with the organization and its goals.

By walking and dialoguing with his people, the leader promotes positive emotions such as enthusiasm, autonomy and security, generating a synergy that solidifies the sense of belonging.

In this sense, leadership is not a static attribute, but a strategic process where the leader's "being" and daily "doing" give meaning to the company's philosophy, ensuring that the declared culture is truly lived in every corner of the office.
