Calories with nutrition holistic - nutrition holistic
The energy our body receives is measured in calories. From this arises the well-known idea that in order to lose weight it is necessary to generate a caloric deficit, that is, to consume fewer calories than are burned. However, this theory has evolved over time, since weight loss does not depend solely on the balance between calories consumed and calories expended.
We can get calories from almost any food, but the problem lies in how the nutritional content of those foods is balanced. Getting calories from a vegetable is not the same as getting calories from ice cream. While this is a separate issue, in holistic nutrition calories are just one component. They are not the central pillar of weight loss, as this view is based on old and outdated ideas about nutrition.
