Transcription How to decorate the foyer?

The foyer also known as vestibule, entrance or "hall" is a part of the house located next to the entrance where we perform some important tasks before leaving the house or returning to it. For example: we collect the keys, bags, umbrellas and check in front of the mirror some details of our image before leaving and returning home.

In modern homes the hall usually does not have large dimensions, which does not mean that we should leave it in the background when decorating our home; on the contrary, we must put all our efforts to ensure that the first space we find when we arrive at our shelter, is beautiful, cozy and practical.

  • The coat rack where we place coats, bags, etcetera. A cupboard for those elements that we cannot forget when leaving and arriving home, for example: a kit of disinfectant materials -disinfectant gel, masks, gloves, etc.-.
  • A waste garbage can, bucket or basket to throw the garbage in.
  • A shoe rack with a bench to change shoes when arriving and leaving home.
  • Place a mirror, this besides being an outstanding decorative element in any space, provides light, amplitude and will allow you to check some details of your image before leaving and returning home.
  • Introduce natural elements: ornamental plants, fresh flowers in a vase, baskets and straw hats. These resources impregnate the spaces with warmth and homey feelings.
  • Enhance the light by painting large surfaces in light colors. Remember that the colors should be warm and should not contrast with those of adjoining rooms to produce a sense of spaciousness and continuity.
  • You can place an attractive decorative lamp, glass and light decorate and bring well-being and joy to the spaces.
  • You can also place a rug to add a much needed touch of warmth to accentuate the cozy atmosphere of the space.
  • If you have a large wall you can place a large artistic painting, a photograph or a composition of several paintings.

Decorating small hallways
