This is not a mere formality; it is a crucial part of the assessment and a strategic opportunity for you.

Knowing what and how to ask can make a significant difference.

Why NEVER say "I don't have any questions."

Answering "No, I don't have any questions" is a serious mistake. This response conveys several negative messages to the interviewer:

Lack of genuine interest: Suggests that you are not really curious or committed to the opportunity.

Lack of preparation: Indicates that you have not thought enough about the position or the company.

Little initiative or intellectual curiosity: Qualities that are often negatively valued. Not asking questions wastes a valuable opportunity to stand out.

Objectives when asking questions: Show interest, evaluate the company/position, reinforce your candidacy, create a connection, etc.

Use the moment to ask questions to achieve several strategic objectives:

Sell yourself and reinforce your candidacy: You can ask questions that allow you to subtly highlight a strength or experience that hasn't come up before.
