Building an identity based firmly on empathy starts inescapably at the highest levels of managerial leadership.

It is the primary responsibility of managers to cultivate a psychologically safe ecosystem, where workers feel the full affective support they need to perform at their best.

In corporations where constant terror reigns, individuals hide their mistakes or quickly blame others to avoid severe retaliation, yelling or unjustified dismissals. This stifling climate annihilates any attempt at genuine external kindness.

Conversely, when an employee makes a mistake and leadership responds with constructive guidance rather than hostility, deep and mature loyalty is fostered.

A work team that knows it is protected will naturally adopt the same compassionate and tolerant posture when interacting with the public.

Organic interventions to correct deviations without hostility

Ensuring the proper assimilation of these valuable principles requires organic and highly empathetic supervisory interventions.
