Personal hygiene standards


Hands should be washed periodically with water, soap or alcohol solutions. To ensure adequate hygiene, in those workplaces where frequent hand washing is not possible due to the particularities of the task performed, the presence of alcoholic solutions or gels in sufficient quantities for hand sanitization should be guaranteed throughout the work shift.

Close contact between workers should be avoided and a physical distance of more than one meter should be kept, especially for people with flu-like symptoms, such as nasal or conjunctival congestion, dry cough, fever, runny nose or watery eyes. When coughing or sneezing, the mouth and nose should be covered with a tissue and hands should be washed as soon as possible. Because hands facilitate viral transmission, it is necessary to avoid touching the mouth, nose or eyes.
