The mandatory food information legislated for the labeling of products shall.

Refer to the identity and ingredients of the product, as well as its properties or special characteristics. Contain general information for consumer protection and instructions for the safe use of the product, such as:

  • Information intended for a sector of the population that may be sensitive to certain components that may be present in the food.
  • Expiration date, safe storage and use.
  • Possible side effects on health that may be caused by the consumption of the product, as well as the risks and consequences that this may cause.

Information related to the nutritional properties of the product should be included to facilitate the choice of food for consumers with special characteristics in their diets. Availability and presentation of food information:
